Companies everywhere are looking to get involved in IoT, and this was evident nowhere more than the second annual India IoT Symposium in Mumbai on April 22-23 (http://www.iotsymposium.co.in). Many different groups were looking to learn more about IoT and how it could help their business:
- Government agencies like Indian Railways asking for solutions that can help them transport the population of Australia every day
- Multinational conglomerates like Reliance and Tata looking to improve upon their existing communications infrastructure
- Startups working on big problems like traffic congestion and smarter healthcare in the region that needed expertise to make their ideas a reality
Infiswift received a ton of interest at our booth where we showcased our enterprise IoT platform that provides the piping to connect and manage any devices securely in real-time. Many event contacts will be jumping on the beta version of the platform when it launches in May and some may even get a sneak peek before!
Pushpa Balaji, Engineering Director at infiswift, also spoke on why MQTT is the proper protocol for IoT applications getting into all the technical details. With a packed house, there was a lot of interest that spilled over into discussion during the lunch break.
Overall, the event was a great educational experience for the team and an opportunity to share our vision for implementing IoT in the real world. Our perspective was very well received and we look forward to supporting IoT implementation in India and globally for many of the contacts we made at the symposium!
